divh2Truck Dispatcher Job Description/h2pWe are looking for a motivated Trucking Dispatcher who will be responsible for overseeing the scheduling and dispatching of our fleet of trucks. In this position, you will work closely with drivers, customers, and other team members to ensure timely delivery of goods. You will also be expected to maintain accurate records, monitor driver performance, and resolve any issues that may arise during the transportation process. Candidate must have good communication, interpersonal skills and organizational skills. Ideal candidates will be reliable, flexible, critical-thinking problem solvers./ph3Duties and Responsibilities/h3ulliCoordinating the schedules of truck drivers, including pickups and deliveries/liliCommunicate with drivers to ensure they have the necessary information and resources to complete their routes/liliEnsure compliance with all safety regulations and company policies/liliMaintain accurate records of shipments and deliveries/liliManage and oversee a team of drivers and logistics personnel/liliContinuously evaluate and improve logistics processes to increase efficiency and productivity/liliAnswering calls from drivers, shippers, and brokers, and keeping them informed of delivery times and road conditions/liliTroubleshooting issues that may arise while drivers are on the road/liliMonitors availability and maintain schedules concerning all aspects of trucking operations/liliUse computers, phone and other technological devices with ease/liliAttend weekly staff meetings/liliDetermine types and number of trucks needed for all projects/liliOrders and maintains needed truck supplies/liliCoordinate and facilitate resources on a daily basis to meet work schedule/liliBe comfortable in a construction environment/liliAssist transportation manager with supervision of transportation department employees/liliComplete other duties as assigned by supervisor and/or management/li/ulh3Requirements and Qualifications/h3ulliLearn and follow all safety regulations./liliBe familiar with DOT regulations./liliHigh school diploma or equivalent/liliMinimum of 2 years experience in dispatching trucks/liliExcellent communication and organizational skills/liliAbility to work in a fast-paced environment/liliKnowledge of transportation regulations and laws/liliProficient in computer software such as Microsoft Office and transportation management systems/liliStrong problem-solving skills/liliAbility to work independently and as part of a team/liliAttention to detail/liliFlexibility to work long hours and weekends/liliAbility to handle stressful situations and make quick decisions/liliKnowledge of geography and routes/liliDriver license required/liliSome travel may be required./li/ulpAll applicants must be authorized to work in the United States./ppPre-employment checks include reference checks and drug testing and DMV records (as needed)./p/div
