We are seeking two compassionate and dedicated overnight Caregivers to provide exceptional support to our senior clients in their homes or in our community care settings. The ideal candidates will be responsible for assisting individuals with daily living activities, managing behaviors, and ensuring a safe and comfortable environment. This role requires a strong understanding of patient care and the ability to work effectively in a home care setting.

The overnight caregiver role can be a great fit for online college students or even parents trying to balance children and work schedules.

Valid driver's license and a reliable vehicle, with a willingness to transport clients as needed is a requirement. The travel expectation is that you can drive to a client as far west as Rochelle, south to Somonauk, east to Route 47 Elburn/Maple Park, and north to Pingree Grove.

Availability Requirement

• 7pm-7am / 8pm-8am shifts 3x a week
  • These are AWAKE overnight shifts. You cannot sleep during the shift at all.

Care Pro Benefits

Duties

• Provide one-on-one care to clients, including assistance with ADLs such as bathing, dressing, and grooming.
• Support clients with daily living activities, including meal preparation, medication management, and housekeeping.
• Develop and implement personalized care plans that cater to each client's unique needs and preferences.
• Utilize effective behavior management techniques to ensure the safety and well-being of clients.
• Provide transportation to appointments and errands as needed.
• Maintain a clean and organized living space, adhering to our organization's standards for cleanliness and safety.
• Build strong relationships with clients and their families, providing emotional support and companionship.
• Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure continuity of care and address any concerns or issues that may arise.

Skills

• Knowledge of ADLs and the ability to assist with daily living activities.
• Ability to work effectively in a home care setting, including managing challenging behaviors.
• Experience working with seniors is preferred.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with clients, families, and other healthcare professionals.

Location: Dixon, Somonauk, Big Rock, and the DeKalb County area.

All candidates must successfully pass both a federal criminal background check and motor vehicle report.

Additionally, all candidates must be eligible under the Illinois Department of Public Health's Healthcare Worker Registry. If you are not already deemed eligible by IDPH, then you will need to have your fingerprints scanned by a third-party vendor, at the expense of the employer. If you are need fingerprinting completed, the employer will notify you and help coordinate this appointment.

All candidates must perform drug screening during new hire training. Drug screening is done in the office at the expense of the employer.
