Part‑Time Teaching Artists – Musical Theatre Specialty – Winter 2026 Valley Youth Theatre (VYT) seeks a dedicated, experienced teaching artist passionate about working with children to join their Education & Outreach team. The position involves teaching musical theatre classes for ages 5‑12 on Tuesdays during the winter season. Schedule: Tuesdays, 5:00 PM to 7:45 PM, January 13 – March 3, 2026. Classes include Musical Theatre for Ages 5‑8 and Musical Theatre for Ages 9‑12. Responsibilities Teach and facilitate age‑appropriate musical theatre lessons for children aged 5‑12. Warm up students using piano and play melody lines to teach musical theatre concepts. Support student artistic growth and foster a supportive learning environment. Qualifications 2‑3 years of teaching experience or a BA/BFA preferred. Experience in dance, vocal instruction, and acting, with comfort teaching children ages 5‑12. Demonstrated excellence in teaching and performance, supporting the mission of VYT.
