Provide 1:1 or group tutoring instruction during day‑time hours with flexibility to support less than 10 hours per week between 8 AM–3 PM. Additional evening hours may be available. The position requires locating the tutor to various sites across New Castle County (schools, libraries, etc.) with travel not exceeding 30 minutes from our center. Develop tailored lesson plans based on student needs and learning styles. Use creative, hands‑on approaches to make the subject engaging and relevant. Maintain accurate documentation of student sessions and progress. Communicate with parents regularly and student's teacher as needed. Adjust instruction techniques to accommodate students with learning differences. Qualifications A minimum of 2 years of teaching or tutoring experience with middle school‑aged students (excluding student teaching) in Math (geometry, algebra I & II, etc.). Bachelor’s degree required. Strong written and verbal communication skills. Ability to adapt lesson plans and teaching approaches based on student engagement, need, and skill level. Ability to manage students in a group setting. Ability to travel to different locations in New Castle County (schools, libraries, etc.).
