Job Title: First Shift Production Supervisor
Location: Chattanooga, TN
Department: Manufacturing / Production
Shift: First Shift (e.g., 6:00 AM 6 PM)

Position Overview

We are seeking a hands-on First Shift Production Supervisor to lead daily operations in our industrial tire manufacturing facility. This role is responsible for ensuring safe, efficient, and high-quality production while driving accountability and performance across the team.

The ideal candidate is a strong floor leader who can manage people, solve problems in real time, and consistently deliver results in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Supervise and coordinate daily production activities for first shift operations
• Lead, coach, and develop a team of production employees to meet output and quality targets
  
• Enforce safety policies and ensure compliance with all OSHA and company standards
• Identify and resolve production issues quickly to minimize downtime
  
• Track and report key performance metrics (output, scrap, efficiency, downtime)
• Conduct shift meetings and communicate priorities clearly to the team
• Collaborate with maintenance to address equipment issues proactively
  
• Handle employee performance issues, attendance, and disciplinary actions as needed

Qualifications

• 35+ years of supervisory experience in a manufacturing environment (industrial, rubber, or tire experience preferred)
• Strong leadership presence with the ability to hold employees accountable
• Proven ability to meet production goals and manage competing priorities

• Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills
• Effective communication skills (verbal and written)
• Comfortable working on the production floor for extended periods
