Project Quality Manager Location: Overland Park, KS, US; Ann Arbor, MI, US Company: Black & Veatch Family of Companies Req Id: 114568 The Opportunity Project Quality Manager 1 is responsible for implementing the QMS to fulfill the quality mission and support the successful execution of assigned projects as described in the Quality Management System (QMS) and/or the Nuclear Quality Assurance Program. Key Responsibilities Plans, develops, implements, monitors, evaluates, and maintains the project quality plan for assigned projects. Supports 1 large EPC project and/or several services projects simultaneously. Collaborates with other PQMs on projects executed by professionals in multiple locations. Conducts quality assessments of project procedures and documents to identify, analyze, and document non-conforming processes or products; develops and implements corrective action by comparing activities against project quality program criteria. Reviews, analyzes, and evaluates project supplier and subcontractor activities, quality systems and programs, products, and reports for adherence to the QMS and/or the NQAM. Reviews purchase orders and associated documentation to ensure correct quality requirements are included prior to contract award. Identifies and assesses improvement opportunities and ensures a resolution is determined which will meet project and/or process quality requirements. Assists project team members with quality processes such as CARs, PARs, lessons learned and deviations. Participates in development and implementation of training on QMS for assigned project personnel. Periodic travel will be required. May involve additional work hours/week. Acts in capacity of a "leadperson" for issues related to quality. Minimum Qualifications 4 year degree in Engineering, Management, Quality, or Business. Minimum 4-6 years of experience in a quality-related role. Preferred Qualifications Principles, practices, techniques, and theories of quality processes. Techniques relating to quality assurance and quality control programs and procedures. Computer applications. Engineering, design, procurement, and construction principles. Project management principles, practices, and methods. Construction inspection, tests, and methods. Ability to understand instructions; reason and make good judgments; verbal, numeric, and spatial aptitudes; perception of detail in verbal or tabular materials; analytic and problem-solving abilities; precision; memory; initiative and the ability to work with Black & Veatch staff, contractor, and client representatives. The nature of the work may be fast paced. Create and conduct training sessions.
