This position supports CDPH’s mission and strategic plan by providing comprehensive administrative support to the Operational Support Services (OSS) within the Program Support Division (PSD) by assisting the Manager II and OSS Analyst II through assignment tracking, document management, purchasing and contract-related tasks, and monitoring incoming requests. The Office Technician (OT) (Typing) manages PSD’s main phone line, coordinates meeting room reservations, processes daily and overnight mail, and supports courier services and invoice verification. The OT also maintains PSD office supplies by tracking needs, obtaining quotes, placing orders, managing inventories, receiving and distributing deliveries, and ensuring office equipment is stocked and functioning. Additionally, the OT supports the Business Administrative Support Services (BASS) and Statewide Infrastructure Support Services (SISS) sections by monitoring shared inboxes related to facilities, maintenance, records, forms, and asset management, and assists the Safety and Security Officer with emergency rosters, departmental trainings, and safety and preparedness activities.
The incumbent works under the supervision of the Manager II, Chief of OSS.
This is a 12 month Limited-Term Full-Time position that may be extended or become Permanent.

In July 2025, the State of California implemented the Personal Leave Program (PLP) 2025. This program temporarily reduces employees’ monthly base pay in exchange for paid leave credits. This position is subject to PLP 2025 and will have a monthly base pay reduction of 3% in exchange for 5 hours of leave credits through June 2027.
