Job Responsibilities As a Medical Lab Scientist, you will play a vital role in ensuring accurate and timely diagnostic results that directly impact patient care. Responsibilities include:
- Performing a wide range of clinical laboratory tests with precision and adherence to protocols
- Operating, maintaining, and troubleshooting laboratory instruments
- Conducting quality control and preventive maintenance procedures
- Preparing reagents and managing supply inventory to support efficient operations
- Reviewing and reporting test results, including notifying providers of critical values
- Upholding regulatory compliance (CLIA, CAP, and other standards) and maintaining accurate documentation
- Collaborating with fellow laboratory staff and clinical teams to ensure seamless patient care
Minimum Qualifications - Bachelor's degree in Medical Technology, Clinical Laboratory Science, or related field
- Certification as MLS/MT (ASCP, AMT, or equivalent) required or eligible
- Previous experience as a generalist in a hospital or clinical lab setting preferred
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a keen eye for accuracy
- Excellent communication, organizational, and teamwork abilities
- Ability to work independently and adapt in a fast-paced environment
Compensation & Benefits - Pay range: Starting at $32/hour - $47/hour base
- Sign-on bonus: $10,000, with relocation assistance available
- Schedule: 7 on / 7 off, full-time, with both day and night shifts available - take a week off without using PTO!
