Job Title: MATLAB Developer

Job Overview:

Halliburton Drill Bits and Services is seeking a highly skilled MATLAB Developer to join our team. The ideal candidate will have strong proficiency in MATLAB, experience in plotting data and generating graphs, and the ability to develop and optimize algorithms and applications for our engineering and research teams. This role involves collaborating with cross-functional teams to translate mathematical models and simulations into high-quality software solutions.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Develop and Optimize Algorithms: Create and refine algorithms using MATLAB to solve specific problems related to drill bits and services.
2. Collaborate with Teams: Work closely with engineering and research teams to understand requirements and translate them into technical specifications.
3. Design and Implement Software Solutions: Develop software based on mathematical models and simulations to enhance product performance.
4. Plotting Data and Generating Graphs: Utilize MATLAB to plot data and generate graphs for analysis and presentation.
5. Conduct Unit Testing and Debugging: Ensure the reliability and performance of the software through rigorous testing and debugging.
6. Maintain and Update Codebases: Keep existing MATLAB codebases and applications up-to-date.
7. Documentation: Document and present work to stakeholders and team members.
8. Stay Current: Keep up with MATLAB best practices and industry trends

Required Skills:

• Proficiency in MATLAB: Strong ability to write and optimize code using MATLAB's language and toolboxes.
• Experience in Data Visualization: Skills in plotting data and generating graphs using MATLAB.
• Understanding of Algorithms: Ability to design and implement algorithms effectively.
• Knowledge of Simulink: Familiarity with Simulink for modeling, simulating, and analyzing multidomain dynamical systems.
• Problem-solving Abilities: Excellent analytical thinking and problem-solving skills.
• Collaboration and Communication: Effective communication skills for working in teams

Qualifications

• Education: Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, or a related field.
• Experience: Proven experience as a MATLAB Developer or in a similar role.
• Skills: Strong understanding of mathematical and statistical concepts, ability to work independently and as part of a team, and good communication skills
• Additional Skills:
• Signal Processing: Experience with signal processing techniques.
• Debugging and Unit Testing: Proficiency in debugging and unit testing.
• Version Control: Familiarity with version control systems like Git.
• Numerical Methods: Knowledge of numerical methods and their applications.
• Software Documentation: Ability to document software processes and solutions effectively
