Overview Looking for Qualified Interpreters! As a busy interpreting service provider, we are seeking to onboard hard-working, fully-bilingual foreign language interpreters to provide in-person interpretation for our local Nebraska clients. This is a great opportunity to use cultural knowledge to help non-English speakers in the area. We have an immediate need for K'iche' interpreters in the Omaha area. Join our exceptional team and enjoy flexible hours. Responsibilities Provide in-person interpretation for local Nebraska clients as needed. Qualifications and Requirements Fully bilingual Excellent communication and listening skills Familiarity with medical terminology Ability to maintain strict confidentiality / HIPAA compliance In-person interpreters only; must have transportation to attend appointments locally Technical skills for learning/using an online portal (printing and uploading vouchers required) Must have access to a printer Interpreting experience and/or certification preferred Background checks and drug screens required Schedule is PRN (as needed), part-time (or less depending on languages spoken) and is flexible based on interpreter availability and preferences; applicants should have some availability M-F 7AM-5PM when services are typically needed Independent contractor position with flexible hours; hours are not guaranteed and depend on availability, languages spoken, and client needs Proof of vaccination is required as part of the hiring process due to health and safety requirements; exemptions for medical or religious reasons will be considered.
