Mechanic – Hydraulics Specialist
Location: Granite City, IL 62040
Pay Rate: $26–$30+ per hour (DOE)
Schedule: 7:00 AM – 4:00 PM, overtime as required
Position Type: Contract to full-time hire

About the Role:
Integrity Trade Services is seeking a skilled Hydraulics Mechanic to join our team in Granite City, IL. Key Responsibilities:

• Install, maintain, and repair hydraulic systems and components on various equipment and vessels
• Read and interpret blueprints, hydraulic schematics, and technical diagrams to troubleshoot and diagnose issues effectively
• Perform preventative maintenance to ensure hydraulic systems operate smoothly and reliably
• Disassemble, inspect, repair, and reassemble hydraulic cylinders and components, including seal replacements
• Conduct welding, metal fabrication, and electrical assembly tasks as needed
• Review drawings and provide technical suggestions for repairs and system improvements
• Operate machinery such as drill presses, lathes, grinders, and other tools to modify or fabricate parts
• Work on onboard towboats, tugboats, offshore supply vessels, and other mobile equipment, often in non-climate-controlled environments
• Be prepared to work odd hours, including nights and weekends, to support 24/7 operations

Qualifications:

• Proven experience in hydraulic system fabrication, assembly, and repair
• Proficiency in reading and interpreting hydraulic schematics and diagrams
• Hands-on experience with hydraulic components, troubleshooting, seal replacement, and cylinder repair
• Ability to operate various shop machines safely and efficiently
• Strong mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills
• Willingness to work in challenging environments, including offshore and non-conditioned settings
• Commitment to safety, quality, and reliability
• Pass pre-employment screenings
