Job Description
Job Title: Driving Instructor (Part-Time)
Location: Hayward, CA
A well-established and highly respected driving school in Hayward is currently hiring Driving Instructors for behind-the-wheel training. We are looking for responsible, patient, and dependable individuals who enjoy working with students and can operate independently with minimal supervision.
This is an excellent opportunity for teachers, semi-retired professionals, or anyone interested in gaining hands-on teaching experience. A part-time role may transition into full-time employment after a successful 3-month probationary period.
No prior experience required — paid training provided.
Requirements (DMV Qualifications):
Must be at least 20 years of age
Valid California driver’s license (no restrictions, suspensions, FTAs, FTPs, etc.)
High school diploma or GED (proof required)
Ability to pass a physical examination
Clean driving record
Strong communication skills and a patient, professional demeanor
Schedule:
Thursday, Friday & Saturday
12–28 hours per week (with potential to grow into full-time)
Compensation & Benefits:
$22+ per hour (DOE)
