Job Description

Construction Project Manager (Temporary Contract)

Location: Los Gatos, CA

Duration: 4-5 Month Engagement

Rate: DOE

Job Summary:

The Construction Project Manager will help oversee and manage a 100,000 sqft residential housing construction project to completion. This role involves managing project schedules, budgets, and resources, ensuring compliance with safety standards, and maintaining effective communication with stakeholders. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills, extensive construction knowledge, and the ability to solve problems efficiently.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Develop detailed project plans, including timelines, budgets, and resource allocation.
  2. Prepare and manage project budgets, ensuring cost-effectiveness.
  3. Allocate and manage resources effectively to meet project requirements.
  4. Oversee all onsite and offsite constructions to monitor compliance with building and safety regulations.
  5. Coordinate and direct construction workers and subcontractors.
  6. Review the work progress on a daily basis.
  7. Address any issues that may arise, ensuring minimal disruption to the project timeline.
  8. Maintain effective communication with clients, architects, engineers, and other stakeholders.
  9. Provide regular project updates and reports to stakeholders.
  10. Ensure all legal requirements, building and safety codes, safety inspections, city guidelines, and local and state regulations are met.
  11. Maintain comprehensive project documentation, including contracts, change orders, and progress reports.
Qualifications:
  • Proven experience as a Construction Project Manager or in a similar role.
  • Experience in managing large-scale construction projects is preferred.
  • Strong leadership and team management skills.
  • Proficient in project management software (e.g., MS Project, Primavera, Bluebeam, Procore, etc).
  • Strong communication and negotiation skills.
  • Ability to read and understand construction plans and specifications.
  • Time management and organizational skills.
  • Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or a related field (Desired)
  • Professional certification (e.g., PMP, CCM) is a plus.
